Christmas day Jon received some walkie-talkies (along with some of the other citizens of Wilsonville). Soon after Jon opened his we heard some kids talking on them. (We were apparently on the same channel.) "It's snowing yelled one of the kids" We looked outside...no snow. Then about 1 minute later large white flakes started falling from the sky. Jon was so excited. "It's a Christmas Miracle" he exclaimed. We bundled up the kids and took a short walk. It only lasted a few hours but it was fun to have a white Christmas.
Jackson loved Christmas this year. A few days before Christmas he looked under the tree and said "I don't think I'm going to get what I want for Christmas because there is no more room under the tree." When Christmas finally came he yelled "Horray for Santa" (Or Grandma..or whomever) gave him a gift he really liked. Jackson gave the best gift of all to his parents...He's mostly potty trained. He'll be turing three on January 11th and is having a firefighter themed birthday. We're going to the fire station as part of the festivities. He watches a show called FireMan Sam and has designated each one of our family members as one of the cast. Dad is fireman Sam, Mom is Penny, Jackson is Elvis and Drew is Tom. He says "Goodnight Tom" when Drew goes to bed. He says "Please bless Fireman Sam, while he's at Work" during the prayer. He's a huge helper and such a great boy.
Boomer's (Drew's) hands are healing well and he was able to take the gauze mittens as well as the ornaments off our tree a week before christmas. He makes us laugh all the time. He's starting to say a few words..."dahhhh" (dad), "dahhh" (dog) "dahhh"(door) and of course "Elmo". He loves to play chasing games, basketball and to be held. He and Jackson are starting to play really well together.
Happy New Year to all. Our goal is to write at least once a month (the first Sunday of every month). We've attached a copy of the Christmas Card we emailed/sent out this year.
