The Caboose has arrived!!!
Michelle gave birth to a beautiful healthy daughter this morning at 9:40 (Sunday December 21, 2008) She weighs 7lbs 11oz and is 21 inches long. We braved the snow and ice last night to come to the hospital. Michelle had contractions all night but nothing exciting happened until they broke her water at 8:22 this morning. Baby came just an hour and 20 minutes later and could have come sooner but we were waiting for the doctor to come. We've decided to name her Artic Blast Pippert in honor of the storm.

Snow Day
I also got to visit the hospital in November. I was having contractions the week before Thanksgiving and the doctor recommended I come in. Unfortunately, they wanted to observe me and I had to stay overnight. The bed was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep a wink. I couldn't wait to get home the next morning and thought about escaping many times during the night. I decided next time not to call until I see baby emerging.
For Thanksgiving, Jon's Dad (Grandpa "Bubs") came. Grandpa Bubs stayed at our house one night. It was fun to spend a little time with him. Grandpa,Jon,Jackson and Drew went bowling together and went to Pump it up (an inflatable jumping gym). Unfortunately, I didn't get to join them due to the recent contractions.
The boys are excited for Christmas. They love looking at the Christmas lights, making "snow snakes" (flakes) and Christmas Cookies. Jackson was so impatient to get our Christmas tree he wanted to go with or without Dad. He could barely wait to get the tree inside to decorate it. Now, Jackson wants us to get lights for the outside of our house. (Probably not going to happen this year)
Jackson is learning how to spell. He can spell Zoo, Moo,Boo, Mom and Dad. Drew recently learned how to open doors. We have a hard time keeping him in time out now but he stays in his room most days after naps until we come to get him. They are both really great boys and so much fun.
Not much else was going on... We'll be sure to let you know when baby comes. Hopefully she'll be here soon.
