I finished my first triathlon June 5. The triathlon was better than expected, time wise, but nothing spectacular. I finished in 1:39:45 overall. The 1/2 mile swim took me 20:44 with a 4:05 transition. (That's the time it took to change out of my wetsuit and into biking attire) The 12 mile bike ride took 41:27 with a 2:17 transition and an amazingly slow 3.1 (5K) run at 31:11.

Jackson is an official graduate of preschool and is looking forward to kindergarten next year. He registered for the local public school and was accepted. With his excellent progress we weren't surprised when he received a full tuition scholarship (it's called taxes). Unfortunately, Mom and Dad still have to pay room and board.
Father's Day Weekend Michelle attempted to be spontaneous and planned a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Leave it to me to not check my calendar and miss several important Saturday events. On our detour home we passed by this statue of Big Foot and stopped hoping to find a little more information. Jackson is really interested in Big Foot and thinks he might be real.
To our chagrin, there was only this large statue and a small gift shop which had no interesting or fun facts. We were hoping to go away enlightened but left more confused, wondering "Is big foot male or female?" Our fearless leader, Jon attempted to find the answer but to his dismay found no conclusive evidence.
Father's day was low key. Our only bit of uniqueness to the day was the Golf theme. Jon's gifts were a golf lesson, golf balls, and some golf gloves. We made him a little card that looked like a golf ball and wrote "Fore Dad" on it.
Here are a few of the reasons we love our Dad:
1) He wrestles with us and has tickle and pillow fights
2) He makes us McDad's (toast/eggs/cheese) and French toast for breakfast.
3) He builds forts with us every Saturday
4) He lets us watch TV more than Mom
5) He provides for us
6) He gives great hugs and snuggles with us.
7) He teaches us new things (How to Swim, How to ride a Bike, Math, letters etc.)
8)He calls Mommy "Beautiful"
9) He's willing to check out if Bigfoot is masculine or feminine.

Jackson and Boomer are official entrepreneurs. With a lot of help from Mom and Dad they started a flag business and we have our first six customers. A big thanks to our neighbors! Here's the boys putting up the flags this morning.
